The Pine River-Backus Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) Program is funded by grant dollars from the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Chemical Health Division. The program began July 1, 2006. The main mission of the program is to reduce youth alcohol, tobacco, and other drug access and use and adult problems from ATOD use in the Pine River-Backus area.

We are here to increase awareness of substance abuse, provide educational curriculum in our local schools and offer programs to help families who are dealing with substance abuse.

ATOD cooperates with local law enforcement agencies to help decrease under-age drinking and substance abuse.
